The birthstone for April is diamond!
Diamonds are forever, what else can we say here? And, today, there are more choices than ever. Diamonds in hues of yellow, red, pink, blue, and green range in intensity from faint to vivid. In general, the more saturated the color, the higher the value. In fact, diamonds sparkling with intense color are rare and very desirable as a result. Diamond is the anniversary gem for the 10th and 60th years of marriage.

I have just acquired 200 grams of very fine aquamarine rough just found. It is large pieces, very clean.Most of it has a beautiful blue color with a few special pieces having a green hint to them. I will post pictures of the rough soon and will have newly cut gems available in the shopping cart by 6-15-11. Thanks Gems by James LLC

After many long hours in the gemstone shop, I have cut dozens of roughs into fine gemstones. In fact, I also spent a few days photographing the gems so they can be added to our site.
There is now a wide selection of freshly cut gemstones available here at Gems by James. Dozens of gems including citrines, aquamarines, garnets, amethysts and others are all on the site. For those interested, you can see the entire selection in our gemstone and jewelry shop. Below please find a few examples and a few of my personal favorites:
